A Mini Face Lift For My Laundry Room

Yesterday while I was cleaning my laundry room I decided that it was a terribly drab room and no wonder my laundry never gets done. Who wants to spend time in a boring, ugly-looking room? Not me, apparently. I had some leftover off white paint that I used on my livingroom walls and numerous small bottles of acrylic paint in various colors so I filled a red solo cup ("I lift you up" ... I couldn't help myself) with the off white and tinted it with acrylic paint in blue and green. Above is a picture of the color I ended up with. I am terrible about remembering to take "before" pictures so I'll just tell you what they looked like... The cabinets were just plain white and the shelf was white with accents of furniture polish stains and scratches.

Above is the finished product. I bought clear glass knobs to make it all look a bit fancier.

Aren't they lovely?? I'm now inspired to be on the look out for more items to fancy up my laundry room which also doubles as our pantry so I may have to get creative.

Laundry soap and sparkly knobs,
xoxo Heather

  6. I love how those pretty little glass knobs can instantly dress something up! My laundry room is in my ugly old garage.... it would take a lot of pretty knobs to make it look presentable!
